William W. Stutz
B.A., LL.B.

William Stutz acts as senior legal counsel, assisting colleagues and advising clients on a wide variety of legal issues. His areas of expertise include Wills & Estates, Real Property Law, Corporate Law, Business and Commercial law, Municipal law, and Civil Litigation. Mr. Stutz currently serves as legal counsel for the Town of Orangeville, as well as the Township of East Luther Grand Valley. He also served as Deputy Judge of the Ontario Court (General Division - Small Claims Court) for 8 years.

Mr. Stutz is presently a member of the Dufferin County Law Association, the Canadian Bar Association, the Law Society of Upper Canada, and serves as a Reviewer for the Law Society's Practice Review Program. He has practiced law in Orangeville for 32 years and he has developed a large client base whose trust in him has not wavered since he opened his practice in 1976.

Mr. Stutz has also been an active member of the Big Brothers Association, the Orangeville Chamber of Commerce, the Optimist Club of Orangeville, the Board of Directors for the Dufferin Area Hospital, the Orangeville Police Services Board, and the Children's Aid Society for Dufferin County.

Robert K. Brown
B.A. (Hons), LL.B.

Robert Brown was called to the Ontario Bar in 1995. Prior to joining our firm he practised law with a high profile litigation firm in downtown Toronto and worked on some of the most notable cases before the Ontario courts. He has appeared on trials and motions in all levels of the Ontario courts including a number of appearances at the Court of Appeal for Ontario.

In his eleven years of practice, Mr. Brown has gained extensive experience in lititgation, dispute resolution, mediation, and arbitration. He can provide counsel to our clients in many areas of litigation including Insurance, Disability, Personal Injury, Motor Vehicle Accident claims, Estates and Trusts, Breach of Contract, Debt Collection, Employment and Wrongful Dismissal, Corporate-Commercial, Construction claims, Human Rights and violations of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms and Class Actions. Mr. Brown can also provide advice for Estate Planning, Estate Administration and general legal advice on most matters that have potential for litigation.

Jason Self
B.A., LL.B.

Jason Self graduated from the College of Law at the University of Saskatchewan in 2004. He joined Stutz & Associates as an associate immediately following the completion of his articles with our firm. Mr. Self has been a member of the Orangeville community since his family first moved here over 21 years ago. He is a member of the Dufferin County Law Association, the Canadian Bar Association and the Law Society of Upper Canada. Mr. Self has established a successful and rewarding practice that is founded on trust, solid client relationships and excellent client service.

Mr. Self's practice offers a wide variety of services including Real Estate, Wills and Estate Planning, Business Law, Municipal Law, Employment and Labour Law, and general Civil Litigation. When he is not working, Mr. Self enjoys discussing politics, sports, listening to music and playing the guitar.

Stephen J.C. Christie
B.A., LL.B., J.D.

Steve Christie graduated with the third-ever graduating class from the University of Windsor's joint Juris Doctor and Bachelor of Laws program with the University of Detroit Mercy in Detroit, Michigan. He completed law classes on both sides of the border and graduated cum laude from Detroit Mercy. Prior to law school, Steve obtained his Bachelor of Arts from Bishop's University in Quebec, with a major in Psychology and minor in Music. Steve has played and coached competitive sports throughout his life and continues to travel extensively throughout the world.
